Robert Mattson
About

Robert Mattson is a Boston-based singer/songwriter that specializes in story songs that make audiences smile, laugh, cry and think.  He has performed at such venues as the Driftwood Cafe, The Center for the Arts of Natick, Amazing Things, Cafe Ziba, The Sittin' Bull, the Losers Lounge (at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival), The Wachusett Inn Music Series and in assorted coffee shops, book stores and open mikes in the greater Boston area.

A background in stage, interactive theater and having written over 40 plays make each and every performance new and memorable.  Rob is a master of audience interaction and has charmed audiences whether they are 2 or 82 years old.

30 years of musical theater have left their mark on Rob's voice and it is unlike any in the folk communiity.  A deep, rich baritone, Rob will switch from heart-felt songs of putting his infant son to bed, to pleading the case of a highway sign vandal trying to stay out of jail.  An evening with Rob is not really a folk concert, it's a night of mini-musicals performed by a balladeer with the heart of a comedian.
